It has been a both a privilege and pleasure to participate in this international collaboration to foster awareness of the cultural diversity represented by our different festivals. Each country has its own unique and interesting cultural events that often seem strange when compared with our own. We are now much more knowledgeable, the various festivals not so strange and we have made new friends whilst on this journey of learning in a virtual environment.

A little bit about the Lithuanian Students of GVC1114

"My name is Simonas, I don't have any sisters or brothers. In my free time I like to watch action films with my friends, play sports, and listen to house music. I don't have any favorite subjects in school."

"My name is Monika. There are 3 members in my family: my father, my mother and my sister. I love being with my best friends, and I like to travel to other countries. The music i like listening to is pop and other genres. My favorite subject in school is math."

"My name is Jonas. I like watching TV, playing basketball, and listening to music. I like almost all genres of music. I have an older sister, she is 19."

"My name is Alfredas, I'm 16 years old. There are 4 people in my family: mum, dad, my sister and me. I like being with my friends and riding my bicycle. I like cheese burgers."

"I am Gabija. I have one older, her name is Ugne. I like to watch romantic films and comedies. My favorite food is pizza."

"My name is Kamile. I am a 17 year old school girl. My family consists of my mother my sister and my step father. I try to spend my free time with my family and friends. I like to dance, paint, and take pictures."

"My name is Sonata, I have an older sister and an older brother. I have one dog and one cat. I do not like reading books. My favorite films are "Step Up" and "Dear John". I like turtles and pizza."

This was a collaborative project involving over 70 high school students from the United States, Lithuania, and Canada. Each school brought its own strengths and perspectives to this great project, and left it with a greater appreciation for each others' cultures and abilities.
