Bharatanatyam is a traditional classical dance of South Indian State, Tamil Nadu. This dance form is very popular among girls and women even in modern times. The dance is usually accompanied by South Indian Classical Music.

It dates back to 1000 B.C. Its inspirations come from the sculptures of the ancient temple of Chidambaram.
Many of the ancient sculptures in Hindu temples are based on Bharata Natyam dance postures. In fact, it is the celestial dancers who are depicted in many scriptures as dancing the heavenly version of what is known on earth as Bharata Natyam

Sufism is a tradition practiced by the followers of Islam religion. The practitioner of this tradition is called Sufi. Another name for Sufi is Dervish.
Classical Sufi scholars believe that ‘Sufi is a science whose objective is the reparation of the heart and turning it away from all else but God’.
Origin of the word Sufi is from the word Suf, ‘wool’, referring to the simple cloaks the early Muslim ascetics wore.
Sufi Whirling is a physical active meditation which was originated between Sufis and is practiced by The Sufi Dervishes.
A Sufi Dervish practices a multiple rituals one of which is dhikr, the remembering of Allah. Dhikr is coupled with physical exertion, mainly dancing and whirling.
The sheikh stands in the most honored corner in front of whom the dervish passes three times, every time exchanging greetings before the whirling begins.
A Mevlevi wears a sleeveless white frock, a long sleeved jacket, a belt, and a black overcoat or khirqa to be removed before the whirling begins.
As the ritual dance begins, the dervish dons a felt cap (fez), in addition to a turban wrapped around the head.
Sufi music has gained a lot of popularity in India and has been one of the popular genres of music among young and old in 2011.
