UNITY IN DIVERSITY
We are proud to be a great nation ,
And we have made this declaration .
We aspire to step ahead with great determination ,
All we need is a bit of dedication .

Then why these fights ,
Which leave us in plight .
Just think of the day ,
When we would only be a ray .

Let us not be mislead ,
By those who want to see us dead .
So lets join our hands to sustain ,
Unity in diversity we promise to maintain .

Brotherhood , peace and harmony ,
Will lead us to our destiny .
Freedom , respect and liberty in order to earn ,
The lessons of benevolence we must learn .

So lets stay together ,
With Unity In Diversity .
And have peace and harmony in our hearts ,
And let not others divide us in parts .

Unity in Diversity is a slogan celebrating co-operation between different groups of people in a single society and socio-ecological philosophy that describes a sense of oneness despite physical or psychological barriers. In 1938, the leader of the Baha'i Faith said it was the "watchword" for the religion. "Unity in diversity" or some variation is also the official Motto of the European Union (Latin: In varietate concordia) as well as the nations of Ghana, Indonesia, Papua New Guinea, India and South Africa. "Unity in Diversity" is one of the nine Enduring Principles of Community of Christ, an international Christian church
UNITY IN DIVERSITY-A short and common phrase heard by all educated people across the globe envelops an entire world in it. A true image of unity in diversity is presented by the people of India. There is a wide variety in here in every field ranging from sports, food habits, and languages to customs and traditions, but we all are basically one Indians under the canopy of our national flag. Our ancestors sowed the seeds of unity in our country, their followers continued to water and nurture them. Fortunately we see India as a prosperous orchard full of variety of fruits or a garland made up of varied flowers. A great sage Shankaracharya bound the whole country together by asking the priests of south India to worship in the temples of north and vice versa. Our motherland has seen great inspiring leaders like Swami Vivekananda who ,himself being a Hindu had read extensively about Bible and talked about it at the world parliament of religions, Chicago. In India people of different religions have continued to respect the ideas and values of people of other religions and hence, India has always stood up as an integrated nation ready to put its arms around everybody in this world. As a car moves only when the four wheels move in one direction, the world will move towards one destination of peace, calmness, brotherhood and fraternity when people from different diversities want to move in one direction paying reverence to each other and spreading the message of love. Let Unity be laced with Uniformity. Let Peace Prevail on Earth.

All Roads Lead to Rome- Different paths to the same goal

- By GVC1109 members ...

History: All Roads Lead to Rome is a modern version of a medieval statement with reference to Milliarium Aurium (Golden Milestone) erected by Augustus Caesar in Central Forum of ancient Rome.

All distances in the Roman Empire were measured relative to that point. Geoffrey Chaucer Father of English Poetry used the first English version Right as diverse pathes leden the folk the righte wey to Rome. in Treatise on the Astrolabe. The Roman proverb was Mille viae ducunt homines per saecula Romam .

Interpretation: In simple language it means Different paths can lead to the same goal. In idiomatic English it can be understood as there can be many different ways of doing the same thing which is the essence of Unity in Diversity.

We agree to differ can be another way of looking at the same viewpoint. Like the five fingers of our hand, each with a different name and a different look, yet when attached to a palm becomes a hand and reaches out to shake hands in order to make friends, joins together as Namaste a greeting or packs a powerful punch when the need arises, we need to stand together with unity of purpose, reinforce each others strengths, come together, fall in place like the pieces of a jig-saw puzzle and stand together as one entity called humanity, fight against social evils, and strive for Peace ,Unity and Universal Brotherhood.
