T. I. Ahmadiyya Secondary School. The school was founded by the Ahmadiyya Muslim Mission in the year 1950.
The school is located in the Ashanti regional capital (Kumasi) near the Kumasi Sports Stadium. It is a mixed sex and admits students from different ethnic groups, Religion and nationality.
The school runs normal from Mondays to Friday, while the school starts lessons from 7:10 and closes at 15:45 from Mondays to Thursdays, on Fridays, lessons starts 7:10 and closes 10:20 so Muslim students can make time to attend Mosque and partake other religious activities.
On Sundays, the other students especially the Christians are given time from 7:00 to 13:00 to move out and join various religious activities which they subscribed to.
It is important to note that since the establishment of the school there has NOT been students’ riot and we think this enviable record is due to high students and staff discipline, religious tolerance, good and effective communication among members of the community among others.
On the field of sports, our school has won in THREE consecutive times the regional inter schools and college athletics competition. Visit (www.my.opera.com/AHLORD/blog) to see pictures of this year’s competition under photos (REAL AMASS 2011)
