Those people have a lot in common. For one, they all went through hard times. Abe Lincoln went through the Civil War, Azim Premji's dad died, Franklin D. Roosevelt went through the Great Depression, Yitzhak Rabin was murdered, Ariel Sharon had a stroke, and George Washington went through the American Revolution. They have all shown that they can get through really tough times, and that gives them respect. They all also are good people. Most of them did at least one thing to help their country or to help themselves. Some of them make money for themselves, and others do things to help their community, but they all help people in some way or another, and many people respect them for that. All of them also respect the public. Whether they were president, prime minister, or just a businessman, they all have done something for the general public, and that commands respect.
